The Manifold clock is a wall clock by Studio Ve, an industrial design studio based in Tel-Aviv, Israel.
We design home products with a different perspective on things.
The clock emphasizes the fact that we treat time as continuous, yet it’s cyclical.
The concept is based on the study of Riemann surface, which is a type of Riemann Manifold. One of the more common manifolds resembles climbing a spiral staircase: seen from the side one climbs up, yet from above one walks in circles.
We introduced the first design of this clock in 2011 and since it was showcased worldwide, including PromiseDesign in Milan Design Week, Stockholm Design Week, Designer Days in Paris & Vienna Clock Museum.
The production of the Manifold Clock was achieved thanks to 648 backers around the world using Kickstarter, a crowd-funding platform.
